Maki trpasličí
Maki trpasličí chováme od roku 2008. Samec se narodil v roce 2008 a samice v roce 2007.
Naše makie jsme je umístili společně do voliéry rozměrů 150x150x80cm. Tato voliéra je vyrobena z tzv. lamina, čelní stěna je tvořena převážně ze skla a větrání je zajištěno hliníkovými větracími mřížkami. Na dně voliéry jsou bukové štěpky a menší množství sena a dřevité vlny. Důležitou součástí vnitřního vybavení jsou větve. V našem chovu používáme bukové. Další vybavení tvoří boudičky, napaječka, krmítko a žárovka pro noční svícení, aby bylo makie možno pozorovat.
Krmení maki v našem chovu se skládá z veškerého dostupného hmyzu (sarančata, cvrčci, švábi, mouchy, larvy potemníků), ovoce našeho i jižního (jablka, třešně, jahody, borůvky, banány, mango, kiwi) a zeleniny (mrkev, celer, petržel). Dále podáváme květy i listy pampelišek a v opravdu malém množství i různě doporučované kašičky s vitamíny a minerály. Voda je umístěna napáječce a její spotřeba je relativně malá.
V současné době (04/10) máme dva páry maki trpasličích a snad se brzy podaří první odchov.
